The design level is based upon a few different factors: The amount of time the page took because of various techniques used, and the price of the embellishments used on the page.

BASIC:

Mainly use of "flat supplies; paper, stickers, die-cuts and ribbons.

DELUXE:

All of the above plus 3-d embellishments and other techniques, such as rubber stamping, inking, etc.

MASTERPIECE:

All of the above plus more expensive embellishments or very time consuming techniques such as machine stitching, embossing, etc.
