Hi, my name is Mandy Kerns. Thank you for your interest in Scrappin' Chick. Let me tell you a little bit about myself and why I enjoy creating albums and feel that they are so important to current and future generations.

I have had a lifetime passion for design and for making hand crafted items. I have a degree in Fashion Design and enjoy interior decorating. After my first child was born, I began to realize the importance of documenting his life in a scrapbook. What a precious gift to be able to pass down to him and to future generations. There will never be a question of what his life was like. He will have a picture of almost every event, be able to identify the people in every picture and what role they played in his life. As we grow and our memory fades, there will always be a scrapbook to look back on. Not only is it important to record our children's lives, births and adoptions, but also holidays, weddings, our faith, sports, our heritage, marriages, vacations, and other events that we hold dear to our hearts.

I am actively involved in our church and lead a Faith booking ministry. We meet quarterly to work on our scrapbooks and encourage one another to record how our faith has worked in our lives on our scrapbook pages.

In March 2004, I attended Creating Keepsakes University. It is an intense 4-day workshop of non-stop classes taught by the nations leading scrap booking designers and the editors of Creating Keepsakes Magazine. It was an incredible experience and brought my passion to a completely new level. In June of 2005 I attended the Masters Level of Creating Keepsakes to further my skills even more. The experience was one I will never forget. My favorite class was "Expressions on Canvas" where I learned to create a scrapbook page on a canvas to be displayed on a wall. While in attendance, I won 2nd place in the Scrapbook Layout Design Contest in the photography category. There were over 300 entries. In addition, I regularly enter layout contests at some of the most popular on-line scrap booking resources and have won three times.

Why do people turn to me to do their albums? Some people do not have the time to commit, some people do not want to invest in the supplies, some people do not feel creative, some people do not have the room to scrapbook, and the reasons go on. I use only archival/acid free papers; albums and inks to ensure your memories last through generations. I offer reprinting & enlargement services, photo restoration, CD back ups of your albums and much more. Please also consider a scrapbook as a gift; maybe a "brag book for a grandparent or a small album for a baby gift that is all designed and ready to have pictures put in it. The options are endless.
